At the end of the encounter, which was attended by the Minister of Defense, Daniel Mora; the Minister of the Interior, Oscar Valdés; and the Commander of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, EP General Luis Howel, the US official expressed his government’s desire to continue working closely with Peru through military collaboration efforts to jointly face challenges, including the threat of terrorist groups such as the Shining Path.
